Class Styles

Our warm and welcoming approach offers a carefully curated selection of Yoga styles, Barre and Pilates classes. We’ve everything to suit beginners and experienced practitioners, 7 days a week, with more of the classes you like at times to suit you. Vayu Yoga is home to a wonderful array of teachers who have their own style, if you’re new to the studio we recommend signing up for our intro offer and exploring as many classes as you can. If you are new to Yoga, we suggest Mindful Flow, Hatha or Flow to Restore and for a relaxing class, Yin or Restorative. Whether you have practised Yoga for years or are just starting your journey, Vayu Yoga is a place for everyone. We hope that whoever walks through our doors feels safe, valued and supported. Vinyasa Flow

Energising. Dynamic. Uplifting.

This class is a combination of breath and movement through linking postures in a flowing sequence of movements. Each class focuses on physical strength and flexibility throughout the body, with a clear focus on breath awareness and alignment. This powerful style of Yoga will raise your heart rate and leave you feeling uplifted and energised. 

Hot Flow 30°C

Awakening. Purifying. Immersive.

A powerful class unifying postures with a focus on breath awareness and synchronicity of movement. Vinyasa creates a steady internal rhythm, practised in 30°C heat expect to sweat and detoxify. Vinyasa focuses on physical strength and flexibility throughout the entire body, leaving you cleansed and rejuvenated.

Yin Yoga

Calming. Grounding. Healing.

A relaxing class to help you unwind and de-stress from the day. Yin is an ancient practice designed to slowly stretch the body working into the connective fascial tissue, a balance to the more dynamic ‘Yang’ practices. Yin is composed of seated postures targeting specific joints and tissues enabling softness and a sense of surrender. In addition to being a relaxing and nourishing form of Yoga, it is a great complement to students who run, cycle or practice Yoga. You will leave feeling lighter, more flexible in your body and peaceful in your mind and heart. 

Flow to Restore

Clearing. Balancing. Unwinding.

A combination class of flowing Vinyasa sequences to unravel and unwind physical tension in your body, cultivating space, a deeper connection and an awareness of your breath. Followed by calming restorative sequences to help you relax, unwind, bringing balance to your body, mind and soul.

Restorative Yoga

Relaxing. Nurturing. Supportive.

A relaxing and supportive practice, Restorative Yoga uses props like bolsters and blocks to support you in different postures helping your body to release and unwind. A grounding practice made up of floor-based sequences, with gentle movement your nervous system is calmed allowing you to soften, rebalance and restore your body.

Mindful Flow

Centering. Steady. Purposeful.

In a Mindful flow class, you will be guided through each posture slowly and mindfully. This slower-paced, deliberate practice will build a stronger body whilst filling you with a sense of freedom as you move. You will learn how to deepen and use your breath to anchor and ground your body, move energy and bring you to the present moment.

Hatha

Align. Slow. Refine.

The word Hatha means Ha ( Sun ) Tha ( Moon ) to move in a balanced way exploring a variety of postures. The Hatha Yoga postures are designed to cultivate strength, flexibility, openness, and balance. Practising Hatha Yoga regularly will invite steadiness of breath, strength in body and clarity of mind. In Hatha Yoga postures are held for longer, enabling you to align and refine your movements.  

Pilates

Strength. Stability. Mobility.

Suitable for all levels, this mat-based Pilates class focuses on strength, stability, posture, breath control and mobility. Each class will work to balance all muscle groups, with an emphasis on challenging the core muscles with each movement. This class will leave you feeling stronger, teaching control and body awareness. If you are regaining strength from an illness or injury, or simply would like to get back in good physical shape this class is for you.

Barre

Toning. Energising. Uplifting.

Our Barre class combines elements of strength and toning with classical ballet exercises. This class is set to an upbeat, high-energy playlist that will keep you pulsing, lifting, and toning! Suitable for all levels, and intended for those looking to experience a low-impact environment that will make you sweat!

Warm Flow | 25°C
