Yin Foundation Training with Sasha Gabbe
40 Hours - Yoga Alliance Accredited
Held at our central Guildford, Surrey studio. Start your journey into Yin Yoga Teacher Training, your opportunity to delve deeper into this beautifully meditative Yoga practice.
This immersion into Yin yoga creates space for exploration and study. The reasons for, and the results of practising this form of Yoga will be explained. There will be detailed examination of poses, examples of sequencing and plenty of time to evaluate your experience. You will also learn contraindications and modifications, to suit your students.
By the end of the course, you will have a deeper understanding of Yin Yoga as a practice. You will expand your horizons as a Yoga Teacher, equipping you with the tools to offer this deeply nurturing practice to your students.
Yin incorporates principles of traditional Chinese medicine, and through longer held poses you cultivate a moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body; the fascia, tendons and ligaments as well as exploring the more meditative states of this slow-paced practice.
If you are a passionate Yoga teacher and would like to incorporate this mindful Yoga practice into your classes, this course is for you. The course will offer a deep and full experience as you embrace the journey through seasons and elements. You will step away from the fast-paced daily rhythm of life, to embrace cyclical living.

About Sasha
YOGA + LIFE JOURNEY
Sasha is an experienced and passionate Yin yoga teacher, she also teaches Restorative yoga and yoga for Cancer. Sasha has taught yoga since 2012 and has been practising yoga since she was a student in the late nineties. She is Senior registered teacher with yoga alliance. Sasha originally trained in India between 2012 - 2013, when she completed four hundred hours of dynamic yoga training. However, it was when she discovered Yin yoga with Norman Blair in London in 2013, she realised that yoga could also be about letting go, compassion and non-striving, something that resonated with her.
Sasha has since completed over two hundred hours in Yin yoga trainings alone with Norman Blair, Bernie Clark, and Paul Grilley. She has also trained in Restorative yoga with Judith Hanson Lassater, Qi Gong and Vinyasa flow with Mimi Quo Deemer + most recently trained in yoga for Cancer, after her own cancer experience. Sasha assisted Norman Blair on workshops and on six teacher trainings over an eight-year period. Sasha also has a wealth of life experience to draw on, which feeds into her teaching and teacher training. Sasha guides and supports yoga teacher students on their own teaching journey and helps them to develop self-enquiry through not only self-study (books & manuals); but also, to embed the practice in the physical body through practice.
Sasha encourages yoga teacher students to find their own unique teaching style and voice. This is through exploring what resonates with them and sharing the myriad ways of sequencing a Yin yoga practice with lots of modifications, suggestions such as the use of props + how to creatively hold space.
